Hunting Experience
Author's Note: This short story is about experiences and facts about hunting.
Hunting is one of the most popular American past times. It can be a good times for anyone. Many people around the world pack up their gear and embark to the woods. Choosing sitting in the woods as a way to spend your weekend might seem crazy to some but to others it's a way of life. Hunting has improved over the years with better bows, guns and gear. Which in the long run can mean that you will stay warmer, shoot straight and pretty much have a better experience. I have had many great experiences hunting but I have also had many very boring times to. In the end after you have had a successful trip it all pays off in the end!

Fishing
Author's Note: This short story is based on experiences I've had fishing and why I like to fish.
Fishing along with hunting is one is the most popular outdoor sports. Many people enjoy it and it can be fun for the whole family. For many people like me they spend their free time on the water with a pole in their hand waiting for that one moment when the fish whacks their bait. As the fish fights trying the resists the urge of being pulled to you boat. You’re heart is pumping as the fish surfaces and then you pull the fish up. Finally the fight is over and you’re arms are weak and your legs are shaking. That is what I fish for!

Spring D.W.A
Released in 2008 the Hunger games
written by Suzanne Colin’s have turned to a worldwide phenomenon. Selling an
amazing ten million copies as of September 2008. That’s enough copies to
give to every person in Michigan and you would still have more than 100,000
left. Not only is the hunger games a great book but it also is a great movie.
Selling an astonishing average of 10 tickets per second that’s 864,000 tickets
a day.
At the thought of having to live
the life of Katniss Everdeen it makes me feel very blessed to live where I
live. She was facing a hunger not only for food but a hunger to live the life
of a normal teenage girl. The only way Katniss was going to get food is to
leave the district which is highly dangerous and illegal or to put her name in more
which gives her a better chance to be picked to compete in the hunger games.
Have you ever faced something that
you thought was a life or death situation? Because I doubt you have ever had to
face one as hard as Katniss did her sister was only in the drawing once but yet
she was chosen to compete in the hunger games. What would you have done?
Katniss knew what she was going to do right off the bat. Volunteer as tribute.
Throughout the whole book that particular part really showed Katniss true
character.
Also facing his fears and making
the best out of it is Josh Hamilton. Many people might know him as a great
baseball player from the Texas rangers. However it was just all fun and games
josh started to hang out with the wrong crowd after a motorcycle injury. This
lead to heavy drinking drug use and many other terrible things. Josh spent
months in jail. Then his family just got tired of it they put him in treatment
he kept bouncing in and out. Finally he got better and now look he’s one of the
greatest players in baseball.
Always remember if you over turn
you struggles there always good things that can come out of it. Look at Josh
Hamilton he’s doing great know. Katniss won the huger games. All it takes is a
good drive for some it there family for some there friends and for others it’s
that trophy. So may the odds be ever in your favor.

Life in the Wild
Author's Note: This essay is on the book Brian's Hunt how I felt. I would also like you to look for connection between my writing and my life.
As a sixteen year old boy living by yourself in one of the most remote places in the country of Canada is not a easy task. The only way you’re going to get food is to catch it trap it or shoot it. It's especially not easy when your shooting a homemade re-curve bow made out of wood you found on the ground. For any other normal human this isn't a easy task but Brian isn't any regular small town boy this is the only way of living he's ever known and probably ever will know. To pile on to all of that Brian found an injured dog and being the good person he is he has to go through all the obstacles that he already had to but now with a dog!
At the point of finding a dog I would not of known what to do to add on to that I never would have lived in that remote part of the world let alone by myself. Somehow Brian found a way for it to work. Which reminds me of the movie national lampoon Vaction? It's not as serious as Brian's story that for sure but it defiantly has the same sort of concept surviving in the wild.
Which leads me to the conclusion that living in the wild might be fun for a few nights but then it would turn not so fun. That’s why I’m very grateful to live where I live and go to school where I go!

American Tunnel Worker
Author's Note: This essay is on the miracle that happened to miner in Massachusetts and what I feel about it.
Being a tunnel worker is not an easy job nor is it safe. Being down in a tunnel not seeing day light for hours at a time has to seem like solitary confinement. To make it even worse things can go bad such as what happened in this story.
In Fall River Massachusetts tunnel workers were going through their average boring work day then out of the blue they heard a loud swoosh to follow by what sounded like rock roaring down the tunnel directly in their direction. All of the experienced tunnel workers realized that that was not some ordinary sound. Then out of the corner of their eyes they saw what looked like a black cloud of dust roaring towards them. The workers had no clue what to do or where to go so they stayed there.
What I would have done at that point? I probably would have prayed terrified; I probably wouldn’t know what to do next. However I would never do that job because it dangerous and I’m sure the pay isn’t all that good either that why I give them so much credit for risking their lives for it.
It just shows when it seems like there’s no way there is if you never give up!

The Motivator
Authors note: There always an obstacle in life but all that matters is you get around it.
No Excuses is the best motivating book I’ve ever read. This book makes me want to me push harder and stride farther. It’s a true story based on a boy, Kyle Maynard who was born a congenital amputee which means you are missing a limb. In this case he was born with arms only to about our elbows and his legs were only to about our mid-calf. Did you really think that would stop him? Kyle displayed that no matter what has happened you can accomplish almost anything with hard work and a good attitude.
Most people born with this sever of a disease don’t do much but Kyle wasn’t any ordinary person he wanted to be the best despite his disease he wasn’t going to let it stop him. He was the first congenial amputee to ever fight in the mixed Marshall arts also known as the MMA. You think that’s good he also one and espy for best athlete with a disability and set the world record for the modified bench press lifting an incredible 360 pounds. That’s more than almost all people can lift and he did it without full arms.
Kyle has inspired many people to not give up and keep striding. This book motivates
You throughout the ups and down of your life. It really shows you that you can do it. This book should be read book.
Not matter if your dealt a bad hand in life you can still be successful. By working hard and setting you disability behind you. Just like Kyle did. So live your life with no excuses!
